Frequently asked questions

Where is my data stored?

Everything you enter in NameTime stays on your device. It isn't uploaded to any server or shared with us. Because of that, keeping your own backup is a good habit.

How do I back up my information?

Open Settings → Export and choose Export as JSON for a complete backup (people, photos, tags, links, and history). Save the file somewhere safe, such as iCloud Drive or email.

How do I move to a new phone?

Export a JSON backup on your old phone, transfer the file to the new one, then open Settings → Import and select it. Importing twice won't create duplicates.

How do I send feedback or report a problem?

In the app, go to Settings → Email Feedback, or email us directly at info@usadvantagesolutions.com.

Does NameTime use my location or camera?

Only when you ask it to. The camera is used if you choose to add a photo, and your location is read only when you tap the pin button to save where you met someone. Nothing happens in the background.
